We collect some personal data from you to manage your booking, communicate with you, fulfil our administrative purposes and to comply with our legal obligations.

We have to share your data with third parties such as airlines, coach providers, ferry operators, tour managers and hoteliers to provide your tour arrangements. Some of this information we also need to share with border control and airport security.

We only collect the personal data we need, and we collect, process, store and share this personal data safely and securely. Furthermore, we only store your personal data for as long as necessary.

We may use your data to personalise the communications you receive to include your preferred destination and curriculum area. We may also collect information on how you use our website to improve your online experience.

You’re in control of your data and if the information we hold on you is wrong, let us know what needs updating and we’ll correct it. You can also choose to opt out from receiving marketing communications at any time.

This Privacy Statement applies when you use this website, request information from us or when you confirm your booking with initial deposits.

Booking Information

The booking information that you provide to us about you (and your travelling party) may be passed on to the relevant Travel Providers of your travel arrangements or other persons necessary for the provision of your travel arrangements. The information may therefore be provided to public authorities such as customs or immigration if required by them, or as required by law. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as passport details, religious beliefs, dietary requirements and disabilities. Where your holiday is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection in your destination may not be as strong as the legal requirements in Ireland. If we were not authorised to pass on this information to the relevant Travel Providers, whether in the EEA (European Economic Area) or not we would be unable to arrange your booking. In making this booking you consent to this information being passed onto the relevant parties.

The booking information may be passed onto security or credit checking companies, or to our agents for the purpose of Fraud prevention and or debt collection, to contact you via email, letter or phone with details of our selected Travel Providers products which may be of interest to you. A copy of your personal information held by us can be provided on request. You have the right to have any inaccurate information rectified or erased.

Any personal information you provide to us such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address will not be sold, or rented to any entities or individuals outside of GTI. We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as your tour operator, airlines, hotels, transport companies etc. Usually your tour operator or other principal will pass this information onto their suppliers once we have provided it to them. The tour operator or other principal’s use of your information is subject to their policy and is their responsibility. Please ask either us or them for a copy of this if you would like to see it.

If you refuse or withdraw your consent, or if you choose not to provide us with any required Personal Information, we will be unable to provide you with your required travel arrangements.

All credit card information and personal information is encrypted as it is passed between your browser and our web site. When you make a booking, your initial payment is cleared using the information you provide. Your credit card number is not held in our database.

We may change or supplement this Privacy Policy from time to time. These changes or supplements will apply to the information collected from the date we post the revised Privacy Policy to the Website, as well as to existing information held by GTI.

Newsletters & Brochures

This way of direct marketing is a core part of the way we operate as a business, this constitutes what is termed a legitimate interest.

Following the introduction of GDPR, it is our intention to continue to send promotional information about our tours to individuals based on the bookings and enquiries they have previously made. You will, of course, continue to have the right to request that we send no further marketing information.

GTI has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage you to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications. By using this website, you signify your acceptance of this policy and terms of use. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our website. Your continued use of the website following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.

all email addresses (past and present) used to book trips with us

From the date that we receive all the required information, we have one month to process your request. If the request is complex or numerous we may require an additional two months and will contact to explain why the extension is necessary within the first month of your request.

This Privacy Statement is effective from the 25 May 2018. We may make changes to this Privacy Statement from time to time, we will update the Privacy Statement and we will publish on our website any new version of this statement.
