Murcia is a city known for its detailed architecture, including the stunning Murcia Cathedral. It’s famous for its tasty food, like lamb stew and lemon leaf cookies. The city is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate (microclimate), making it ideal for winter travel.
Cartagena is a historic port city with a rich maritime past and impressive Roman ruins, including a 1st-century BC theatre. Its old town is encircled by 16th and 17th-century walls and it features modernist buildings from the early 20th century. Cartagena also has a National Museum of Underwater Archaeology and a picturesque Mediterranean coastline.
Valencia blends history, modern architecture and vibrant culture. It’s known for the City of Arts and Sciences, including an aquarium and opera house. Valencia is the birthplace of paella and its Gothic Lonja de la Seda highlights its silk trade history. The city’s Turia Gardens offer beautiful scenery and its cathedral is believed to hold the Holy Grail.

Day 1: Arrival in Murcia
Arrive at Alicante. Meet your guide and then transfer to your hotel in Agalia, Murcia.
Check into your hotel, have an evening meal and enjoy your first night at the hotel.
Day 2: Murcia Dairy Farms, Cartagena & Explore Ruins
Start your day with breakfast and then travel to Totana, where you’ll visit a large dairy farm. Here, you’ll learn about how they milk the cows, take care of the animals, choose breeds and manage feeding. You’ll also discuss some of the challenges the dairy industry faces in Spain.
Next, head to Cartagena, an ancient city founded around 220 B.C. by the Carthaginians and later prospered during Roman times. Enjoy a relaxed walk through the historic old town, where you can see Roman ruins like the 1st-century B.C. theater and the Casa de la Fortuna, a villa with beautiful murals and mosaics. Finish the day by returning to your hotel.
Day 3: MERCAMURCIA, Puerto Lumbreras & ADS Bovino de Lorca
The day begins early. Visit a local slaughterhouse and meat processing facility at MERCAMURCIA. After breakfast, you’ll continue to Lorca, arriving in Puerto Lumbreras for lunch.
Next, you’ll meet with the ADS Bovino de Lorca y Puerto Lumbreras, a group supporting 250 farms in the Guadalentín Valley. The day concludes with a visit to a beef cattle farm to learn about breed selection, feeding and management before returning to the hotel for dinner.
Day 4: Murcia - Valencia & Cooperativa Valenciana Productora De Leche
Start your day with breakfast before setting off for a scenic drive from
Murcia to Valencia, taking in the picturesque Spanish countryside. Arrive in Valencia and check-in to your hotel.
After a free lunch, enjoy a visit to the Cooperativa Valenciana Productora de Leche de Ganado Vacuno. Here, you’ll learn about the cooperative model, observe milk processing and packaging and discover the benefits it offers to dairy farmers.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Valencia, City of Arts and Sciences, Central Market & Leisure Time
Start your day with breakfast, then embark on a guided tour of historic Valencia, featuring the stunning City of Arts and Sciences.
After, explore the Central Market, known for its vibrant array of local produce and culinary delights. After the market visit, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Albufera Natural Park, El Palmar Village, Boat Trip & Park Trails
Start your day with breakfast, then set off for a journey to the Albufera
Natural Park, just south of Valencia.
Begin with a leisurely stroll through the charming village of El Palmar, known for its traditional thatched houses. Enjoy a scenic boat trip across the lagoon, taking in views of lush rice paddies. After disembarking, explore the park’s trails on foot.
Return to Valencia, with the rest of the day free at your leisure before spending the night in the city.
Day 7: America's Cup Museum, Virtual Reality Simulators & Wine Cellar
Start with breakfast before departing for the American’s Cup Museum, where you can explore the history of the America’s Cup from 1851 and discover the advanced technology of the boats, known as the “Formula 1 of the sea”.
After, you can try out the virtual reality simulators. Enjoy a free lunch in the city centre. Travel to Requena for a visit to a wine cellar in the O.D. Valencia
region, which includes a tasting session.
Return to Valencia for a farewell dinner and spend the night in the city.
Day 8: Departure
On the final day, enjoy breakfast at the hotel before transferring to Valencia Airport (VLC) for your departure. We hope you enjoyed this amazing agricultural trip. Safe travels!
