For many Irish men, Gallipoli is more than a chapter in a book, it’s a name that echoes with sacrifice, courage and untold hardship. This tour offers the chance to finally visit the battlefield where so many soldiers fought.
You’ll explore Istanbul’s great monuments, walk through ancient Troy and stand on the cliffs of Anzac Cove and Suvla Bay. At sites like V Beach, the Helles Memorial and Green Hill Cemetery, the history becomes real. For those with family ties, military interest, or a desire to understand Ireland’s place in WWI beyond the Western Front, this tour delivers depth and perspective, not just dates and names.
You’ll travel with a small Irish group, with GTI Travel taking care of your flights, transfers and hotel. That leaves more time to reflect, connect and fully enjoy the experience. Day 1: Dublin to Istanbul
Fly from Dublin to Istanbul. Meet your local Tour Manager for transfer by executive coach to your hotel. Enjoy a roof top terrace dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight Istanbul.
Day 2: Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace & Old Istanbul Markets
Breakfast at your hotel. Enjoy a guided walking tour of Sultanahmet, the soul of Old Istanbul including visits to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, the Underground Cistern before continuing to the colourful Grand Baazar and Egyption Spice Markets. Free time in the afternoon and overnight in Istanbul.
Day 3: The Ancient City of Troy & Renkioki Hospital
Breakfast & check out of your hotel and depart for Canakkale. En route you will stop at the remarkable excavations at Troy, the site of the legendary Trojan Wars and the famous Wooden Horse of Troy. You will also have a visit to Renkioki Hospital. Arrive at Canakkale and check in to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Gaba Tepe Information Centre, Anzac Cove & Suvla Bay Area
Breakfast at your hotel. Today you will take the ferry to explore Anzac Cove and the Suvla Bay area. First you will stop at the Gaba Tepe information centre before continuing along the Chunik Bair road. Visits today include Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Johnston’s Jolly, 57th Infantry Regiment Memorial, Walker’s Ridge, The Nek, Hill 10, Green Hill Cemetery, Scimitar Hill Cemeter & lala Baba CW. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Cannakale.
Day 5: Doughty-Wylie’s Grave, V Beach, Helles Memorial, W Beach, Alcitepe Village & Eceabat
Breakfast at your hotel. Today is a full day excursion to the Helles Sector. Visit Doughty-Wylie’s Grave, V Beach, Helles Memorial, W Beach, Alcitepe Village & Ecebat. Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Bosphorus Strait Cruise & Return to Istanbul
Breakfast at your hotel and check out. Depart Canakkale for Istanbul. Today you will also enjoy a cruise on the Bosphorus Strait. Check in to your hotel in Istanbul for overnight.
Day 7: Departure
Breakfast at your hotel and check-out. Transfer to Istanbul Airport for your return flight to Dublin.

As your travel provided we aim to give you all of the essential information about your holiday before you agree to any contract. Information such as:
- Price based on two people sharing and includes all airport taxes and charges.
- Single room supplement €330pp. If you are travelling alone and are willing to share a twin room with another group member of the same sex, we will do our best to accommodate this request, although it cannot be guaranteed.
- A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of €350pp is required at the time of booking.
- Balance is due 10 weeks before departure.
- Price includes one standard piece of hand luggage. Extra luggage is available to purchase prior to travel (prices may vary).
- Optional travel insurance is available (terms and conditions apply).
- City taxes may apply and are payable locally at your hotel.
- Flights, taxes, prices and itinerary are subject to change.
- Your booking is made with GTI Travel (the Organiser). You are authorising GTI Travel to act as your agent, and we will arrange for you to enter into a contract with the relevant travel service provider, including airlines, hotels, insurance companies, coach hire companies, transfer companies and destination management companies.
