Begin your Washington DC Cultural School Tour with a visit to the National Museum of American History, home to more than three million artefacts telling the story of the nation’s past, followed by time to explore other facilities of The Smithsonian Institution, the world’s largest museum and research complex. Continue your journey with visits to the White House Visitors Centre and the moving Vietnam Veterans Memorial, before paying your respects at the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial and the Franklin D Roosevelt Memorial.
Your tour continues with a choice between the interactive Newseum, dedicated to free expression and the First Amendment, or the fascinating International Spy Museum. Afterwards, explore the National Archives Building, where the United States’ most important historical documents are preserved, before seeing the National Mall, Washington Monument, Holocaust Memorial and Capitol Hill. On your final day, visit the Arlington National Cemetery and The Pentagon, headquarters of the US Department of Defence, before enjoying shopping and dining at the Fashion Centre Pentagon City. Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight, arriving home the following morning.

Day 1: Flight
Board your flight to Washington.

Day 2: National Museum of American History & Smithsonian Institution
Breakfast at your hotel before visiting the National Museum of American History which presents America’s history in all of its complexity with more than three million artefacts.
Visit more of The Smithsonian Institution facilities – the world’s largest museum, education & research complex!
Return to your accommodation for overnight stay.
Day 3: White House Visitors Centre, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial & Reflecting Pool, Jefferson Memorial & Franklin D Roosevelt Memorial
Breakfast at your hotel then visit the White House Visitors Centre followed by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
Visit the Lincoln Memorial & Reflecting Pool then Jefferson Memorial and Franklin D Roosevelt Memorial.
Return to your accommodation for overnight stay.
Day 4: Newseum or International Spy Museum, National Archives Building, National Mall, George Washington Monument, Holocaust Memorial & Capitol Hill
Breakfast at your hotel, visit Newseum an interactive museum promoting free expression & the First Amendment or the fascinating International Spy Museum.
Explore the National Archives Building which holds important US historical documents then see National Mall, George Washington Monument & Holocaust Memorial & Capitol Hill.

Day 5: Arlington National Cemetery, The Pentagon, Fashion Centre Pentagon City & Flight home
Breakfast & check out of your hotel then visit Arlington National Cemetery then The Pentagon – HQ of the United States Department of Defence.
Enjoy a visit to Fashion Centre Pentagon City – the largest enclosed shopping mall in Arlington housing 170 retailers & restaurants.
Transfer to airport for your flight home. Flight will arrive on the morning of Day 6

As your travel provider, we aim to give you all of the essential information about your holiday before you agree to any contract. Information such as:
- Where you are going and for how long
- The costs involved for the holiday itself and payment schedule (if this applies), as well as any tax or compulsory charges
- The mode of transport – this detail includes times, dates and places of departure and return
- Where and what your accommodation is (for example, hotel, guesthouse), and how it complies with the law of the EU Member State in question
- Cancellation details (for example, where a minimum take up is needed for a package holiday to come into being in the first place)
- The itinerary of any excursions included
- Any special or exceptional requirements, which you asked for and you and other parties to the contract have accepted
- The complaints procedure to follow if we, as the travel organiser, do not carry out as part of our contract
- Passport and any visa or health requirements
- Whether insurance is compulsory as part of your package holiday and if so, the minimum level of cover needed
As this is an organised school tour, all relevant flight information will become available through your dedicated group/tour leader. Additional information will be detailed in your dedicated login area. Once the tour has been confirmed every person (on that tour) will be sent their own specific link to login to the GTI Tour Portal where you can access additional relevant information and pay for the trip.
