Begin your 3 Country History Tour – Belgium, Germany & Holland in Brussels with a visit to the interactive Parlamentarium, where students can learn about the European Parliament through a 360° cinema, role-play games and interactive exhibits. Afterwards, admire the stunning Grand Place, one of the most beautiful squares in the world, before continuing to your hotel. The following day, step back into the Second World War with a visit to Fort Breendonk Concentration Camp, where Jews and political prisoners were held before being transferred to Germany. After lunch, pay your respects at the moving Netherlands American Cemetery, where since 1945 local families have lovingly cared for the graves of the fallen.

The journey continues in Valkenburg with a visit to the fascinating Municipal Caves, explored on the Gemeentegrot train, followed by a cable car ride and thrilling toboggan run at the top of Valkenburg. The tour concludes in Cologne with a visit to the breathtaking Kölner Dom, the city’s world-famous cathedral, and the Lindt Chocolate Museum, where you will enjoy an immersive journey through the history of chocolate. Before heading home, there will be some free time for last-minute sightseeing in this historic city, ensuring a memorable end to your trip.

Day 1: Flight, Parlamentarium & Grand Place

Meet your GTI Travel representative at the agreed check-in area at Dublin Airport 

Fly from Dublin to Brussels then meet your coach 

Visit the Parlamentarium where you’ll learn everything there is to know about the European Parliament thanks to its interactive tools like a 360° cinema, a role-play game for students and a giant interactive floor map 

Visit the Grand Place -Brussels’s central square, considered one of the most beautiful places in the world before transferring to your hotel for check in & Evening Meal 

Day 2: Fort Breendonk Concentration Camp & Netherlands American Cemetery

Breakfast at your hotel before check out, then visit Fort Breendonk Concentration Camp – an existing military fort designed to receive Jews and political prisoners before their transfer to Germany 

After lunch transfer to the evocative Netherlands American Cemetery where since 1945 members of the local community have adopted the grave sites of the fallen 

Return to your hotel for check in & Evening Meal 

Day 3: Municipal Caves, Valkenburg cable car & Toboggan run

Breakfast at your hotel then transfer to Valkenburg to visit the Municipal Caves where the Romans mined the ground. Board the Gemeentegrot train for a journey through a Roman-built marl quarry with walking & tram tours through its art-filled underground passages

After lunch, travel by cable car up to the top of Valkenburg and enjoy a toboggan run at the top before returning again by cable car 

Return to your hotel for Evening Meal 

Day 4: Kölner Dom, Lindt Chocolate Museum & Flight home

Breakfast at your hotel then meet your coach to transfer to Cologne before visiting Kölner Dom – Cologne’s world-famous Cathedral

Visit the Lindt Chocolate Museum for a 4,000m2 journey through the cultural history of chocolate

Free time for last minute sightseeing in this wonderful historical city, before transferring to the airport for your flight home
