Begin your Sorrento Geography Tour with a visit to the Solfatara Caldera, a dormant volcano that forms part of the Phlegraean Fields, before continuing to Herculaneum for a guided tour of the ancient Roman town destroyed by volcanic pyroclastic flows. After hotel check-in and dinner, the next day takes you to Mount Vesuvius, mainland Europe’s only active volcano, where you will walk to the crater and enjoy a guided tour. Later, explore the world-famous ruins of Pompeii, the Roman town buried in ash during the eruption of 79AD.
Your geographical adventure continues with a visit to an Olive Grove on the hills of Sorrento, where students can learn about traditional farming methods and local production. Then take in breathtaking views on the Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods), a spectacular hike offering panoramic scenery from the pass of Colle Serra, 580 metres above sea level. Each evening, return to your hotel for dinner and relaxation, before concluding the tour with your transfer to the airport for the journey home.

Day 1: Flight, Solfatara Caldera & Guided Tour of Herculaneum
Board your flight to Naples then meet your guide to transfer to Solfatara Caldera – a dormant volcano, part of the Phlegraean Fields.
Enjoy a Guided Tour of Herculaneum – the ancient Roman town destroyed by volcanic pyroclastic flows.
Transfer to your hotel for check-in and Evening Meal.
Day 2: Guided Tour of Vesuvius Crater & Guided Tour of Pompeii
Breakfast at your hotel then meet your coach and transfer to Vesuvius – the only active volcano in mainland Europe where you’ll visit the crater and enjoy a Guided Tour.
Visit Pompeii where you’ll enjoy a Guided Tour of the ancient Roman town buried in volcanic ash 79AD.
Return to your hotel for Evening Meal.
Day 3: Olive Grove Visit & Path of the Gods Walk
Breakfast at your hotel then meet your coach to visit an Olive Grove on the hills of Sorrento.
Walk the famous Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods) to see the stunning panoramas from the pass of Colle Serra ~580m above sea level!
Return to your hotel for Evening Meal.
Day 4: Flight Home
Breakfast & check out of your hotel before meeting your coach to transfer to the airport for the journey home.

As your travel provider, we aim to give you all of the essential information about your holiday before you agree to any contract. Information such as:
- Where you are going and for how long
- The costs involved for the holiday itself and payment schedule (if this applies), as well as any tax or compulsory charges
- The mode of transport – this detail includes times, dates and places of departure and return
- Where and what your accommodation is (for example, hotel, guesthouse), and how it complies with the law of the EU Member State in question
- Cancellation details (for example, where a minimum take up is needed for a package holiday to come into being in the first place)
- The itinerary of any excursions included
- Any special or exceptional requirements, which you asked for and you and other parties to the contract have accepted
- The complaints procedure to follow if we, as the travel organiser, do not carry out as part of our contract
- Passport and any visa or health requirements
- Whether insurance is compulsory as part of your package holiday and if so, the minimum level of cover needed
As this is an organised school tour, all relevant flight information will become available through your dedicated group/tour leader. Additional information will be detailed in your dedicated login area. Once the tour has been confirmed every person (on that tour) will be sent their own specific link to login to the GTI Tour Portal where you can access additional relevant information and pay for the trip.
