Sicily Classical Studies School Tour - Segesta Temple, Selinunte Archaeological Park, Monreale Cathedral and much more..
Begin your adventure with a flight to Palermo where you’ll meet your coach and transfer to your hotel for check-in and an evening meal. The following day you’ll explore the ancient town of Segesta to see its remarkable Doric Solitary Temple before continuing to the impressive Selinunte Archaeological Park, home to at least seven ancient temples and one of the most important classical sites in Sicily. Return to your hotel afterwards for dinner and overnight stay.
Your journey continues in Palermo, a city full of history and art. Here you’ll visit the Baroque Churches, the Norman Palace and the stunning Palatine Chapel before travelling on to Monreale to admire its imposing Arab–Norman Cathedral, world-famous for its mosaics. You’ll also explore the fascinating Catacombs of Porta d’Ossuna, an early Christian burial site, offering a unique glimpse into Sicily’s past. On your final day, enjoy some free time for shopping or sightseeing before transferring to the airport for your return flight home.

Day 1: Flight to Palermo & Evening Meal
Meet your GTI Travel representative at the agreed check-in area at Dublin Airport then board your flight to Palermo
Meet your coach and transfer to your hotel
Check into your hotel and enjoy an Evening Meal before your overnight stay
Day 2: Segesta, Selinunte Archaological park & Evening Meal
Breakfast in the hotel then transfer to the ancient town of Segesta. Visit the Doric Solitary Temple.
Continue to Selinunte Archaeological Park – home to at least seven temples
Return to your hotel for Evening meal and overnight
Day 3: Baroque churches, Norman Palace, Monreale, Catacombs of Porta d'Ossuna & Evening Meal
Breakfast in the hotel then spend the day in Palermo – a city rich in history and art. Visit the Baroque Churches, the Norman Palace and the Palantine Chapel
Continue to Monreale with a visit to the imposing Arab – Norman Cathedral – known for its mosaics.
Visit the Catacombs of Porta d’Ossuna – an early Christian burial site
Return to your hotel for Evening meal and overnight
Day 4: Free Time & Evening Meal
Breakfast and check out of your hotel then enjoy some free time for shopping or more sightseeing
Transfer to the airport for your flight home

As your travel provider, we aim to give you all of the essential information about your holiday before you agree to any contract. Information such as:
- Where you are going and for how long
- The costs involved for the holiday itself and payment schedule (if this applies), as well as any tax or compulsory charges
- The mode of transport – this detail includes times, dates and places of departure and return
- Where and what your accommodation is (for example, hotel, guesthouse), and how it complies with the law of the EU Member State in question
- Cancellation details (for example, where a minimum take up is needed for a package holiday to come into being in the first place)
- The itinerary of any excursions included
- Any special or exceptional requirements, which you asked for and you and other parties to the contract have accepted
- The complaints procedure to follow if we, as the travel organiser, do not carry out as part of our contract
- Passport and any visa or health requirements
- Whether insurance is compulsory as part of your package holiday and if so, the minimum level of cover needed
As this is an organised school tour, all relevant flight information will become available through your dedicated group/tour leader. Additional information will be detailed in your dedicated login area. Once the tour has been confirmed every person (on that tour) will be sent their own specific link to login to the GTI Tour Portal where you can access additional relevant information and pay for the trip.
