Begin your Northern Ireland Geography Tour with an active start at The Jungle NI, where students can take part in the outdoor splash park or enjoy two hours of exciting activities such as archery, zorbing, paintball and segways. Afterwards, check in to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. The following day, explore the spectacular Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to learn about the geological processes that created this unique landscape and uncover the myths and legends associated with it. Continue to the thrilling Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, set in an area of scientific interest, before visiting the dramatic ruins of Dunluce Castle perched above the Atlantic coast.
On your final day, discover more of Northern Ireland’s striking coastline with a visit to Portstewart Strand, a two-mile beach ideal for discussing tidal flow, coastal erosion and protection. Continue to Whiterocks Beach to see impressive examples of sea stacks and arches, then take in the panoramic views from Mussenden Temple and Downhill Demesne, two landmarks that overlook the rugged headlands. After an inspiring and educational trip, your group will return home with a deeper understanding of Northern Ireland’s remarkable geography.
