Begin your Madrid Home Economics Tour with a Guided Tour of Madrid, exploring Spain’s vibrant capital and cultural hub. Visit the magnificent Royal Palace of Madrid, one of the King’s official residences and the largest palace in Europe, before enjoying dinner in a local restaurant. The following day, immerse yourself in Spanish culinary traditions at the bustling Mercado de San Miguel food market, where local produce and specialities showcase the richness of Spanish cuisine. In the evening, take part in a hands-on tapas or paella cooking class, learning authentic techniques while preparing traditional dishes.
The experience continues with a visit to an olive oil farm in Titulcia, where you’ll discover the process of cultivating organic olives and producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil, complete with a tasting session. For a change of pace, spend a day enjoying the excitement of Parque Warner or the thrills of Parque de Atracciones, two of Europe’s top theme parks. On your final day, choose between a tour of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home to Real Madrid, or a visit to Ikono Madrid, an immersive creative museum. The tour ends with free time for shopping or sightseeing before your return flight.

Day 1: Flight, Guided Tour of Madrid & Royal Palace of Madrid
Meet your GTI Travel representative at agreed check-in area at Dublin Airport
Board your flight to Madrid. Meet your coach and transfer for a Guided Tour of Madrid – Spain’s Capital City & the third-largest city in the EU
Visit the Royal Palace of Madrid – one of the residences of the King of Spain and the largest palace in Europe, standing for nearly 300 years
Evening meal at a local restaurant then transfer to your hotel for check-in
Day 2: Mercado de San Miguel & Tapas or Paella cooking class
Breakfast at your hotel then visit the Mercado de San Miguel food market – a meeting point for food lovers showcasing Spanish cuisine and local produce
Enjoy an evening Tapas or Paella cooking class learning hands on techniques using local ingredients
Return to your hotel for overnight stay
Day 3: Olive oil farm & tasting, Parque Warner or Parque de Attractiones
Breakfast at your hotel then transfer to Titulcia to visit an Olive oil farm that focuses on organic oil cultivation and the production of high quality organic extra virgin olive oil followed by a tasting experience

As your travel provider, we aim to give you all of the essential information about your holiday before you agree to any contract. Information such as:
- Where you are going and for how long
- The costs involved for the holiday itself and payment schedule (if this applies), as well as any tax or compulsory charges
- The mode of transport – this detail includes times, dates and places of departure and return
- Where and what your accommodation is (for example, hotel, guesthouse), and how it complies with the law of the EU Member State in question
- Cancellation details (for example, where a minimum take up is needed for a package holiday to come into being in the first place)
- The itinerary of any excursions included
- Any special or exceptional requirements, which you asked for and you and other parties to the contract have accepted
- The complaints procedure to follow if we, as the travel organiser, do not carry out as part of our contract
- Passport and any visa or health requirements
- Whether insurance is compulsory as part of your package holiday and if so, the minimum level of cover needed
As this is an organised school tour, all relevant flight information will become available through your dedicated group/tour leader. Additional information will be detailed in your dedicated login area. Once the tour has been confirmed every person (on that tour) will be sent their own specific link to login to the GTI Tour Portal where you can access additional relevant information and pay for the trip.
