London History School Tour - Churchill War Rooms, HMS Belfast, Imperial War Museum and much more..
Begin your London History Tour with a Guided Tour of the city, followed by a visit to the Churchill War Rooms, the secret underground bunker that tells the story of Winston Churchill’s leadership and legacy during the Second World War. The next day, experience a London Blitz Walking Tour, bringing to life the events of 1940–41 with historic photographs, before exploring the HMS Belfast, a historic warship that served from WWII to 1963. Cross the river to see the haunting ruins of St Dunstan in the East, a poignant reminder of the Blitz. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, with the option to take in a West End Show.
The tour continues with a fun-filled day at Thorpe Park, Britain’s original theme park, packed with exciting rides and attractions. On your final day, visit the Imperial War Museum, which tells the story of lives shaped by conflict from the First World War to the present day. Conclude your stay with free time for shopping or further sightseeing in London before meeting your coach for the transfer to the airport and your return flight home.

Day 1: Flight, Guided Tour of London & Churchill War Rooms
Board your flight to London
Meet your coach and transfer to London for a Guided Tour of this historic city
Visit the Churchill War Rooms – the secret WWII Bunker & Museum that tells the story of Winston Churchill’s life & legacy
Evening Meal in local restaurant before making your way to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay
Day 2: London Blitz Walking Tour, HMS Belfast, St Dunstan in the East & Optional West End Show
Breakfast at your hotel before learning about Sept 1940 – May 1941 on a guided London Blitz Walking Tour. This period will be brought to life with ‘before & after’ photographs of the areas
Visit the HMS Belfast & explore this historic warship to discover what life was like on board for the crew at war and at sea from WWII to 1963 then cross the river to see the evocative ruins of St Dunstan in the East
Evening Meal in local restaurant before making your way to your hotel
An optional West End Show could be included here
Day 3: Thorpe Park
Breakfast at your hotel then meet your coach to transfer to Chertsey
Spend the day enjoying the thrills and spills of Thorpe Park – Britain’s original Theme Park

Day 4: Imperial War Museum, Free Time & Flight home
Breakfast & check-out of your hotel visit the Imperial War Museum which tells the story of those whose lives have been shaped by war through WWI, WWII and to the present day

As your travel provided we aim to give you all of the essential information about your holiday before you agree to any contract. Information such as:
- Where you are going and for how long
- The costs involved for the holiday itself and payment schedule (if this applies), as well as any tax or compulsory charges
- The mode of transport – this detail includes times, dates and places of departure and return
- Where and what your accommodation is (for example, hotel, guesthouse), and how it complies with the law of the EU Member State in question
- Cancellation details (for example, where a minimum take up is needed for a package holiday to come into being in the first place)
- Itinerary of any excursions included
- Any special or exceptional requirements, which you asked for and you and other parties to the contract have accepted
- The complaints procedure to follow if we, as the travel organiser, do not carry out as part of our contract
- Passport and any visa or health requirements
- Whether insurance is compulsory as part of your package holiday and if so, the minimum level of cover needed
As this is an organised school tour, all relevant flight information will become available through your dedicated group/tour leader. Additional information will be detailed in your dedicated login area. Once the tour has been confirmed every person (on that tour) will be sent their own specific link to login to the GTI Tour Portal where you can access additional relevant information and pay for the trip.
