Begin your Iceland Science Tour with a visit to the world-famous Blue Lagoon, where you can relax in the soothing geothermal waters before exploring the Perlan Museum, home to the world’s first indoor ice cave, a 360° Northern Lights experience and a fascinating volcano show. After settling into your hotel, your adventure continues with a journey around the Golden Circle, where you’ll study geothermal power, tectonics and fluvial systems. Highlights include the mighty Gullfoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most spectacular natural wonders, and Thingvellir National Park, a unique lava arena set within a rift valley.
The next day, travel along Iceland’s stunning south coast to the Lava Centre, an interactive exhibition on volcanic activity, earthquakes and the formation of Iceland. Experience the power of nature at the dramatic Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls before continuing to Reynishverfi, the Dyrhólaey Coast and the Sólheimajökull Glacier tongue to study coastal systems, glaciation and fluvial landscapes first-hand. After an evening meal back at your hotel, conclude your trip with unforgettable memories of Iceland’s extraordinary natural and scientific wonders before your return flight home.

Meet your GTI Travel representative at agreed check-in area at Dublin Airport
Board your flight to Reykjavik. On arrival, meet your coach and transfer to the Blue Lagoon where you’ll enjoy a two-hour stop for swimming
Visit the Perlan Museum which is home to the worlds first indoor ice cave, a 360° Northern Lights experience and volcano show
Check into your hotel and enjoy an Evening meal
After breakfast, you’ll drive to the amazing Golden Circle, which explores fluvial systems, geothermal power and tectonics.
Visit the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall. Gullfoss – a spectacular two-tiered 32m waterfall – which is situated in the Canyon of Hvita River
Visit Thingvellir (Þingvellir) National Park – a great lava arena within a rift valley before transferring back to your hotel for Evening Meal
After breakfast, you will drive along the south coast.
Visit the Lava Centre – an interactive, high-tech educational exhibition depicting volcanic activity, earthquakes and the creation of Iceland over millions of years
Stop to see the waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss
Visit Reynishverfi, the Dryholaey Coast and Solheimajokull Glacier tongue to discover coastal systems, glaciation and fluvial systems first hand.
Transfer back to hotel and enjoy your Evening meal
After breakfast the group will transfer by coach to Keflavik Airport for the return flight home
