The following day, set out on the spectacular Golden Circle Route, visiting the dramatic Geysir Hot Thermal Area to see bubbling mud pools and erupting geysers. Continue to the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall, a spectacular two-tiered 32-metre cascade set within the Hvítá River canyon, before exploring the geological wonders of Thingvellir National Park, a rift valley where two tectonic plates meet.
Your journey continues along Iceland’s stunning south coast, stopping to admire the famous Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss Waterfalls. Afterwards, travel to the charming village of Vík, the southernmost settlement in Iceland, nestled beneath Mt. Reynisfjall and known for its black sand beaches and dramatic landscapes.
