This Educational Agricultural Tour to New Zealand and Australia combines meaningful farm visits with some of the most beautiful scenery and travel experiences in the Southern Hemisphere. It offers a balance of agricultural insight, iconic landscapes, cultural experiences and relaxed sightseeing, creating a memorable and well-rounded trip. Following arrival in Auckland, the tour moves south into the Waikato region, where select farm visits provide valuable agricultural insight. From there, the tour moves through Rotorua and Lake Taupo, taking in dramatic geothermal scenery, lakeside views and a memorable Māori cultural evening. This relaxed evening includes a traditional geothermal hangi meal, offering an authentic and social introduction to Māori culture.
On the South Island the emphasis moves to breathtaking scenery and relaxed lifestyle experiences. Highlights include time in Queenstown, a high country farm dinner, dramatic alpine landscapes at Franz Josef Glacier and the renowned TranzAlpine scenic rail journey. The tour concludes in Sydney with guided sightseeing, an Opera House tour and a harbour cruise, providing a relaxed and memorable finish. Depart Dublin on Qatar Airways flight QR020 to Doha. Overnight onboard.
Continue on Qatar Airways flight QR920 from Doha to Auckland. Arrive late evening. Meet representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay only. No touring.
Half day sightseeing tour of Auckland. Leisurely start after late arrival. Dinner at the hotel restaurant is included.
Auckland War Memorial Museum, All Blacks Experience, guided Eden Park tour. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner at own arrangements.
Travel through Waikato dairy country. Farm visit en route. Gallagher site visit. Dinner at own arrangements.
LIC herd improvement briefing. Lunch included. Oraka Deer Park mixed farming visit. Evening free.
Lake Taupo region. Sheep milking farm visit after lunch at own cost. Wai O Tapu geothermal area self-guided visit. Dinner included at the hotel.
National Kiwi Hatchery guided visit. Agrodome sheep show. Afternoon farm visit. Te Puia guided tour with cultural evening and dinner included. Return transfer by Te Puia coach is non exclusive.
Transfer to Rotorua Airport and fly to Queenstown. Met by South Island driver guide and transferred to hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day excursion to Southland for hosted farm visits. Lunch included. Return to Queenstown.
Queenstown sightseeing including Arrowtown. Evening TSS Earnslaw lake cruise and BBQ dinner included at Walter Peak High Country Farm.
Travel via Central Otago, Lakes Wanaka and Hawea, Haast Pass and the West Coast. Optional helicopter flight on arrival. Dinner included at the hotel.
Travel north along the West Coast to Arthur’s Pass. TranzAlpine scenic train journey to Christchurch. Evening at leisure.
