Begin your Edinburgh Cultural Tour with a visit to the historic Edinburgh Castle, perched high on Castle Rock and overlooking the city. Continue to Holyrood Palace, the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland, before walking up Arthur’s Seat, an ancient volcano offering incredible views over the capital. Later, step back in time with a thrilling visit to the Edinburgh Dungeons, where rides, live shows and storytelling bring 1,000 years of history to life. The next day, journey through 15,000 million years of our planet at Dynamic Earth, then discover fossils, cultural artefacts and the famous Dolly the Sheep exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland. Round off the evening with dinner at a local restaurant before joining a spookily entertaining Ghost Tour.
Your final day begins at the Museum of Edinburgh, a treasure trove of objects illustrating the city’s rich history and culture, followed by a visit to The People’s Story, which explores the lives of ordinary Edinburgh citizens from the 18th century onwards. Before returning home, enjoy some free time for shopping or sightseeing in Scotland’s beautiful capital, taking in its mix of medieval charm and modern vibrancy, before transferring to the airport for your flight home.

Guided Tour of Edinburgh Castle – the historic fortress which dominates the skyline of the city from its position on Castle Rock
Visit Holyrood Palace – the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland, with an audio guide
Walk up to Arthurs Seat – an ancient volcano sitting 251m above sea level for excellent view of the city
Visit Edinburgh Dungeons – an 80-minute tour through 1,000 years of Scottish history via 2 underground rides and 11 live shows
Evening Meal and check into your hotel
Day 2: Dynamic Earth, National Museum of Scotland & Ghost Tour
Breakfast at your hotel then take a journey back 15,000 million years through space & time on a visit to Dynamic Earth to witness the story of Planet Earth
Visit the National Museum of Scotland – this enormous museum has everything from fossils showing evidence of earliest forms of life to rich artefact collections representing diverse cultures across the globe not forgetting ‘Dolly the sheep’ exhibition
Evening Meal in a local restaurant before meeting your guide for a spookily funny Ghost Tour
Day 3: Museum of Edinburgh, People’s Story, Free Time & Flight home
Breakfast at your hotel then visit the Museum of Edinburgh – the City’s treasure box illustrating the historical & cultural life of Edinburgh from the earliest times to the present day
Visit the People’s Story which explores the lives of Edinburgh’s ordinary people at work & play from the late 18th century
Free time for further sightseeing or shopping in Scotland’s beautiful Capital

As your travel provided we aim to give you all of the essential information about your holiday before you agree to any contract. Information such as:
- Where you are going and for how long
- The costs involved for the holiday itself and payment schedule (if this applies), as well as any tax or compulsory charges
- The mode of transport – this detail includes times, dates and places of departure and return
- Where and what your accommodation is (for example, hotel, guesthouse), and how it complies with the law of the EU Member State in question
- Cancellation details (for example, where a minimum take up is needed for a package holiday to come into being in the first place)
- Itinerary of any excursions included
- Any special or exceptional requirements, which you asked for and you and other parties to the contract have accepted
- The complaints procedure to follow if we, as the travel organiser, do not carry out as part of our contract
- Passport and any visa or health requirements
- Whether insurance is compulsory as part of your package holiday and if so, the minimum level of cover needed
As this is an organised school tour, all relevant flight information will become available through your dedicated group/tour leader. Additional information will be detailed in your dedicated login area. Once the tour has been confirmed every person (on that tour) will be sent their own specific link to login to the GTI Tour Portal where you can access additional relevant information and pay for the trip.
