Upon arrival, visit the In Flanders Field Museum for insights into World War I, followed by a moving evening meal and the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate, honoring fallen soldiers.

The next day includes a visit to the Passchendaele Memorial Museum and the unique Platoon Experience, where students get a taste of life as Australian soldiers. After dinner at a local restaurant, you’ll return to your hotel for the night.

On your final day, explore Essex Farm Cemetery, where “In Flanders Fields” was written, and the Sanctuary Wood Museum, showcasing original trench layouts. You’ll also visit the Island of Ireland Peace Park and the Hooge Crater Museum, which houses fascinating military artefacts, before heading to the airport for your flight home.

A big thank you from me and all the girls. For all of them it was their first time away on a trip without parents and they had an amazing time.

No drama and everything went like clockwork.

Coach: An excellent driver. He was able to advise us of times etc. The coach itself was perfect.

Hotel: The beds were fantastic and people are still raving about the showers. Having it just beside the stadium is also very handy. Overall the hotel was excellent.

Ourselves and the lads had a great time. Overall, it was great and thankfully, the last two days the weather was lovely. Accommodation was beautiful and even more upgraded than last year, which was fantastic. Coaches and drivers were brilliant and always accommodated any requests.

I will definitely be in touch in the new academic year regarding next year.

Thanks, GTI, as always.
