Experience the fascinating history of Berlin and the cold war, headquartered by Nazis, heavily bombed & divided in two. Visit key WW2 sites, walk along remnants of the Berlin Wall and discover life behind the Iron Curtain. This tour takes you on the incredible journey of Berlin from WW2 to the fall of the Berlin wall. The city was the heart of the Cold War. Learn all about the 44 year conflict that split the city and its people in two.
The Bridge of Spies, Potsdam, Teufelsberg (also known as Devil’s Mountain), the Stasi Museum, and many more important sites are included in this absolutely fascinating tour.

Fly from Dublin to Berlin. Meet your Tour Manager on arrival and transfer by executive coach for a guided city tour.
Visit key WW2 and Cold War sites including the Brandenburg Gate, Soviet War Memorial at Tiergarten, Checkpoint Charlie, the Reichstag, the site of Hitler’s Bunker and sections of the Berlin Wall. Continue to your hotel for check-in.
Afterwards enjoy some free time in the city with the option to visit the Reichstag Dome.
After breakfast travel to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp for a guided visit. Learn about its history as one of the first Nazi concentration camps and its role in the regime.
Return to Berlin city centre by coach. The afternoon is free for your own exploration, suggested visits include the Black Box Cold War exhibition or the Spy Museum.
After breakfast transfer to the former Stasi Prison (Gedenkstätte Berlin-Hohenschönhausen) for a guided tour. Here you’ll gain first-hand insight into the surveillance, imprisonment and interrogation methods used by the East German secret police during the Cold War.
Travel back towards the city centre to Alexanderplatz, with suggested afternoon visits including the Berlin Wall Memorial at Bernauer Straße, where you can see preserved sections of the Wall and learn about the families it divided, or the Berlin Unterwelten, which explores underground bunkers and escape tunnels. Afterwards, explore the city further at your own pace or enjoy dinner in one of Berlin’s many restaurants.
After breakfast check out of your hotel and transfer to the House of the Wannsee Conference where senior Nazi officials coordinated the implementation of the Holocaust. Continue by coach to the Bridge of Spies and cross into Potsdam.
Coach transfer to Potsdam to explore the beautiful Sanssouci Gardens and view the palace exterior, once the summer residence of Frederick the Great. Afterwards visit the grounds of Cecilienhof Palace, where the 1945 Potsdam Conference took place between Churchill, Truman and Stalin to decide the fate of post-war Europe.
Spend some time in the charming old centre of Potsdam with opportunities for shopping. Later transfer to the airport for your return flight to Dublin.
