Begin your WWI tour in Ypres, visit museums, attend ceremonies and explore historic cemeteries.
Kick off your WWI tour by meeting your GTI representative at Dublin Airport before flying to Brussels or Amsterdam. After arriving, you’ll transfer to Ypres to visit the In Flanders Museum, followed by check-in at your hotel and the moving Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate Memorial.
The next day starts with breakfast and the immersive Platoon Experience, where students wear the uniform of the 3rd Australian Division from 1917 and walk to Tyne Cot Cemetery. After enjoying a traditional “Hot Tommy Tucker” dinner, take a guided tour of the cemetery before relaxing with bowling in the evening.
On your final day, check out and visit Essex Farm Cemetery, the Island of Ireland Peace Park, and the Hill 62 Museum. After this meaningful exploration, you’ll transfer to the airport for your return flight to Ireland, leaving with lasting memories of your WWI journey.
