The Burren Geography School Tour - Limestone Landscapes, Aillwee Cave, Cliffs of Moher and much more...
Your Burren Geography School Tour begins as you travel west to County Clare, home to one of Ireland’s most unique natural landscapes. On arrival, discover the remarkable limestone scenery of The Burren, a rocky karst landscape shaped over thousands of years and famous for its rare plants, caves, ancient monuments and dramatic views. This educational school tour gives students the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the region while learning how geography, geology, ecology and Irish heritage come together in this extraordinary part of Ireland.
During your tour, visit some of The Burren’s most memorable sites, from the underground world of Aillwee Cave to the historic Poulnabrone Dolmen, one of Ireland’s best-known archaeological monuments. Continue through the scenic Burren landscape before settling into your hotel for the evening. The following day, experience the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most iconic visitor attractions and part of the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark. Take in the breathtaking Atlantic views, explore the visitor experience and learn more about the natural forces that shaped this dramatic coastline before re-joining your coach for the journey home.
