This educational agricultural tour combines historic cities, regional culture and traditional farming. Beginning in Milan, you’ll enjoy a guided city tour and visit the impressive Duomo Cathedral, followed by a scenic excursion to Lake Como, renowned for its dramatic alpine backdrop and elegant lakeside towns. Continue to Bergamo and ride the funicular to the medieval Città Alta, known for its narrow streets and sweeping views across the fertile Lombardy plains. Travel onward to Emilia Romagna, Italy’s famed food region, for guided visits to a Parma ham producer and a Parmigiano Reggiano cheese factory, where traditional protected methods are showcased. The itinerary concludes with a visit to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, along with tours of local beef and dairy farms offering insight into land‑management practices. This tour provides not only an enjoyable holiday, but also valuable learning and professional enrichment.

Day 1: Dublin - Milan - Bergamo
Morning flight from Dublin to Milan. Meet your tour manager and enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Milan including entrance to the Duomo Cathedral. Continue by coach to Bergamo. Check in to your hotel. Overnight in Bergamo.
Day 2: Bergamo, Funicular Railway & Farm Visit
Explore the historic Città Alta in Bergamo including time to enjoy the medieval streets and views. Take the funicular railway to San Vigilio hill. Afternoon visit to a local beef or dairy farm. Overnight in Bergamo.
Day 3: Lake Como & Boat Trip
Full day excursion to Lake Como. Enjoy a scenic boat trip on the lake with stunning alpine backdrops and picturesque lakeside towns. Return to Bergamo for overnight.
Day 4: Lombardy Farm Visits
Full day visiting beef and dairy farms in the Lombardy region, gaining insight into Italian agricultural practices and production systems. Learn about regional farming methods and production techniques. Evening at leisure or group dinner. Overnight in Bergamo.
Day 5: Parma Ham Production Facility, Cheese Factory Tour & Montecatini Terme
Travel south into Emilia Romagna. Guided tour of a Parma ham production facility with tastings, followed by a guided Parmigiano Reggiano cheese factory tour. Continue to Montecatini Terme. Overnight stay.
Day 6: Tuscany Touring, Lucca & San Gimignano
Full day touring Tuscany including the historic towns of Lucca and San Gimignano with time to explore their medieval streets and landscapes. Overnight in Montecatini Terme.
Day 7: Florence Walking Tour & Free Time
Travel to Florence for a guided walking tour highlighting the city’s key landmarks and Renaissance heritage. Free time to explore Florence at your own pace before returning to Montecatini Terme. Overnight in Montecatini Terme.
Day 8: Pisa, Famous Leaning Tower & Flight Home
Morning visit to Pisa including the famous Leaning Tower. Transfer to Pisa Airport for the return flight to Dublin.
