Day 1 – Dublin to Abu Dhabi

Depart Dublin airport for your overnight flight to Abu Dhabi.

Day 2 – Abu Dhabi

Arrive at Abu Dhabi airport, have breakfast en route to your hotel. Enjoy a guided tour of Abu Dhabi – the capital city of the seven Emirates – to discover both the cultural and cosmopolitan side of this city. You’ll see the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Corniche, the Emirates Palace & more.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is named after the revered His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, late president of UAE. It is one of the largest mosques in the world and can hold 30, 000 worshippers at a time. Ladies will be offered abayas and head scarf before entering the mosque.

Lunch will be served at Al Arish – a local restaurant. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to relax at your 4* luxury hotel or to further explore the city.

Day 3 – Dubai

Breakfast at your hotel. Full day excursion to Dubai to follow the city’s evolution from its mystical past to its glorious present. You’ll visit the Palm Jumeirah –  the world’s largest artificial island. Stop at to the Sheikh Zayed Road to get the best view of the sparkling science-fiction skyscrapers standing alongside the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Your journey continues with a visit to the Al Farooq Mosque in Bur Dubai before visiting the Bastakiya area to see the old wind-tower houses built by wealthy merchants. No visit to Dubai would be complete without visiting the ancient Al Fahidi Fort – the oldest existing building in the city, built in 1787. It now houses the Dubai Museum that records the city’s past as an important pearl diving and trading centre.

The day ends with a ride on an authentic Abra across the Dubai Creek to Deira where you’ll explore the magical aroma of the Spice Souk and the dazzle of the Gold Souk!

Day 4 – Desert Tour

Breakfast at your hotel. Spend the morning at leisure.

In the afternoon, you’ll be collected from your hotel by 4 wheel drive vehicles to discover the majestic desert and to learn more about the Bedouin past of the Emiratis.  After approximately 50 minutes drive by road, the convoy will arrive at the edge of the desert where the drivers will prepare the vehicles for the drive through the dunes.

After the exciting day in the desert,  the convoy will be taken to a magnificent desert campsite for a Free BBQ dinner with live entertainment such as belly dancing, camel riding, henna painting etc.

Day 5 – Free day to spend time in either city

Breakfast at your hotel. Today is yours for personal sightseeing or for relaxing & soaking up the sun.

Day 6 – Homeward Bound

Breakfast & check out of your hotel. Transfer to Abu Dhabi airport to return to Dublin.
